BCI Battery groups 24, 27, and 31 are some of the most popular battery groups, differing in size and thus their capacity, CCA/MCA, and other ratings.

Physical dimensions of these groups are given in the following list:

- Group 24: 10.25 x 6.8125 x 8.875 inches (260 x 173 x 225 mm),

- Group 27: 12.0625 x 6.8125 x 8.875 inches (306 x 173 x 225 mm),

- Group 31: 13 x 6.8125 x 9.4375 inches (330 x 173 x 240 mm).

As the size and the volume of the batteries go up, so do their Amps, Ah, and other values.

BCI Group 24 batteries are mostly general-purpose batteries commonly found in large UPS systems, medical and security systems, wheelchairs, car batteries, trucks, and industrial applications, etc. They are rarely used as starting/cranking batteries - more commonly they are used in deep cycle of standby/float applications.
